Maitreya in Munich

On his last lecture in Munich, Germany, on 16. of November 2002, Benjamin Creme, as always, answered many questions at the end of the lecture. There was also one about Maitreya's presence in the audience:

Question: Was and/or is Maitreya present in the audience tonight?
Benjamin Creme: "Maitreya appears more often than not at my lectures, disguised of course; sometimes as a man, sometimes as a woman; sometimes old, sometimes young... This question has real bearing, because Maitreya was and in fact is still in the audience tonight."

It was a man that you can see on the pictures below.

After the lecture A. B. took three pictures of Him (Old Man I,II,III.jpg) with his photo camera. Saso Segula Prosenc also filmed Him on the video camera (60 seconds) and the rest of the pictures on this page are taken from his camera.

Here is also explanation from Share International:

Over a number of years, some of the Masters, in particular Maitreya and the Master Jesus, have attended Benjamin Creme's lectures and meditations; They also appear in various guises to large numbers of people, especially those involved in the work for the emergence of Maitreya. The recipients of these experiences send letters to the editor of Share International and if authentic — an experience from a Master — this is confirmed by Benjamin Creme's Master and published. Those that are not authentic, ie 'ordinary', remain unpublished. The spirit and morale of people involved in the work for the emergence have thus been immensely strengthened.

These experiences are given to inspire, to guide or teach, often to heal and uplift. After the experience the people, often depressed and unhappy, feel immeasurably relieved and joyful. In many appearances, and this has happened for probably hundreds of years, the Masters act as saving 'angels' — for example in accidents, during wartime, earthquakes and so on. Very often, too, They draw attention to, or comment on, in an amusing way, some fixed intolerance (for example against smoking or drinking) held by the individual involved.

They use a 'familiar', a thoughtform, who seems totally real, and through whom the Master's thoughts can be expressed. These familiars take very many forms: They can appear as a man, a woman, a child, at will. Occasionally They use the 'blueprint' of a real person, appearing in an almost identical guise to that individual, but in most cases the 'familiar' is an entirely new creation or invention by the particular Master.

Here are letters to the editor (Benjamin Creme) about this event as published in Share International magazine in Jan/Feb. 2003 issue.

Dear Editor,

At Benjamin Creme's lecture in Munich on 16 November 2002 I took a lot of photographs for an article in a German magazine about the Emergence of the World Teacher. At the end of the lecture a friend came running towards me and pointed out a person she thought could be Maitreya (during the lecture Benjamin Creme mentioned that Maitreya was in the audience). He was an elderly man, dressed in poor clothes, wearing a cloth cap and pulling a trolley with a bottle of water sticking out. I took three photographs of him while he was standing at the book table and was very impressed with how dignified he was as he looked at the information materials. Was this man Maitreya?

A. B., Munich, Germany.

Dear Editor,

At Benjamin Creme's lecture in Munich (November 2002) I sat in one of the back rows. When Mr Creme started to speak an elderly man in a checked coat, wearing a beret and pulling a trolley behind him, walked down the aisle looking for a seat. As he couldn't find one he turned round and came back towards the back rows. On either side of me was a free seat. I had my bag on the seat on my right and my neighbour had his coat and maps on the seat on my left. The elderly man looked at these seats and then directly into my eyes. I felt an incredible heat and had the impression that the elderly man was giving me a lesson; since my neighbour and I had taken up so much space there was none left for him. The elderly man found a seat two rows behind me and I couldn't stop turning round to look at him. He gave the impression of being a bit confused, but the look he gave me was that of an intelligent man who knew exactly what he was doing. Was he Maitreya?

C. S., Prien, Germany.

Dear Editor,

Our group had a stand at an esoteric fair in Munich a week before Benjamin Creme's lecture in Munich (November 2002). When an elderly man passed our stand I recalled that at every esoteric fair I have been to in the last three years I had seen him and that he always wore exactly the same clothes. I thought how strange it was. I even met him at an esoteric fair in Austria. Was he Maitreya or a Master?

J. A., Regensburg, Germany.

Dear Editor,

At Benjamin Creme's Munich lecture (November 2002) my attention fell on a man some four rows in front of me. He wore a winter coat with the collar turned up and had a cream-coloured cap on his head. I could not see if he was elderly or young but I could not take my eyes off him.

At the end of the lecture, as the people moved towards the exit, many stopped and smiled at him, while others whispered to each other. Many waited to see what he would do. He stood up (he was about 1.9 metres tall) and went to the bookstand at the back of the hall pulling a shopping-cart on which a bundle and a thermos flask were strapped. He looked at the books and put his hand on the photograph of Maitreya's 'hand' as though wanting to feel the energy of the photograph. He intended to buy the card but a man next to me asked if he could give him the photo as a gift. He looked up: he had refined features, a fine nose, brown eyes and a grey, full beard. His face reminded me of Jesus as I remembered it from old pictures. The man spoke about nothing in particular but said something in a broad Bavarian dialect, which surprised me very much. After a short while he left the hall. I followed him and saw him get into a car with a woman. Was that man Maitreya?

A. S., München, Germany.

Dear Editor

At a New Age fair in Regensburg there was an extraordinary man dressed in shabby clothes, with a few things in his old backpack, a red scarf, a beret on his head, and an old coat. I also remember many encounters with him in the last three years at esoteric fairs in Germany, Austria and in Italy where we had information stands about Maitreya.

We talked together often; I told him about Maitreya and the Masters and he listened carefully but was not too impressed. I thought he must be a little crazy to visit all these esoteric fairs, where you always see the same people and stories. What an unusual person! But I was very pleased to see him; sometimes he stayed for a whole day, he seemed to be very interested in all he saw there. He came to our stand and we talked about God, the world, everything under the sun. He told me his name Egon and that he came from Salzburg (Austria). I wondered how he could finance all his trips as he was obviously poor, his backpack held together with many safety pins.

He came to the lectures where I talked about Maitreya. He sat in the first row, and always seemed to be a little bit tired, but interested. After a few minutes he fell asleep — we smiled about him when he breathed noisily. When he woke up at the end he told me that he liked my lecture. I thought he could not have heard too much of it while sleeping.

One encounter I will never forget: in October 2002 I was at a fair in Augsburg waiting for a colleague who, it turned out, could not come. This was awful; I was late and I had only a few things for the stand — some photos, the 'hand' of Maitreya and about 10 flyers. Inwardly I prayed to Maitreya for help and guidance, as I felt I could not do this weekend on my own.

In the event I had such great support for the whole weekend: everything went well and it did not really matter that I had only a few things on the stand. I felt that the card of Maitreya's 'hand' radiated an intense blessing whenever I or anybody else looked at it. The "man from Salzburg" was also there; this time he stayed the whole weekend. He came to my stand, left his baggage there and kept me company. We had coffee and cakes. I don't remember what we talked about but I had a feeling of calming down. I thought we must look very strange: the table with only a few things on it, me a little confused, and then Egon dressed in poor clothes — funny!

The previous year we discovered circles of light in every town where we had information stands. This was also the case in Augsburg, right opposite the hall. I asked Egon to look out for them and tried to explain that these are signs from Maitreya. He was not too impressed, he only smiled. I led him along the road and we looked at the circles.

Egon also went to my lecture. I was a little disappointed about how few people there were. At the beginning I told the people that they could decide if they wanted to believe what I say or not, and asked if they could feel Maitreya's energy right at that moment. It was so intense, as if he was in the room.

When Egon returned to our stand I showed him the latest gift from Maitreya, the 'handprint', and I let him try to feel the energy flowing from the photograph. He did: he closed his eyes and stayed for a while. I remember that I was very happy to see him; he always listened patiently and sometimes seemed amused. Once I asked him if he could put out some flyers in Salzburg so that people could read about Maitreya. He agreed and although his rucksack was stuffed with things he packed very carefully what I handed him and promised to ask in shops if they could be displayed.

On Sunday evening he went with me to the railway station. He had to wait for his train and so we said goodbye in the hall. I embraced him and went to the platform. When I look back to all the fairs, this one in Augsburg made the most impression on me.

At Benjamin Creme's lecture in Munich I saw Egon again: dressed the same and pulling a trolley behind him, he suddenly entered the hall as the last guest. I was happy to see him, we said hello and I supposed he had come because we had invited him a few weeks before. Could it be that Egon was Maitreya?

D. M., Regensburg, Germany.

Dear Editor,

At the beginning of Benjamin Creme's lecture in Munich (November 2002) a tall man walked down the central aisle towards the stage. He was dressed in a long, brown, old-fashioned coat and wore a light-brown beret. He was pulling a shopping trolley behind him with just the metallic frame with a bundle tied to it. The bundle was so small that he could easily have carried it. When he turned I could see his face: he had very smooth shining skin and a prominent nose. He sat down one row behind me.

I forgot about him until Mr Creme said that Maitreya was in the audience. I immediately felt the impulse to turn around and I saw him sitting there in a very casual manner, legs wide open, his shoulders lopsided. He had his eyes closed and both hands were forming a mudra. I looked at him several times, but he never paid much attention to his surroundings. At the end of the lecture I looked directly at him — I knew he was aware that I was looking, but kept his head inclined and did not address anybody. I left thinking he preferred not to talk and saw him later in the crowd close to the Share International photographic exhibition. Was he Maitreya?

A. H., Berlin, Germany.

Dear Editor,

In October 2002 I helped at a fair in Rosenheim near Munich with D. M. A man called Egon came to our stand and talked to her. I greeted him; he was not a stranger to me but I had no idea where I had seen him before.

At another fair, three weeks later in Augsburg, Egon again visited our information-table. We talked a little and he told me that D. and he went "hunting" circles of light together last year in Augsburg. He stood a little time at our stand and looked at Benjamin Creme's books. I noticed that he was quite smelly and I told myself to be more tolerant. He told me that he was also at the Salzburg fair and I asked him how he could afford to travel across the country from fair to fair and pay the admission fees. He said he managed somehow. He bought a card of Maitreya's 'hand'.

Egon was also present at the large esoteric fair in the centre of Munich a week before Mr Creme's lecture. I remember him picking up some advertisement flyers and holding them in his hands very close to his eyes to study the words very carefully, as if he was a botanist without a magnifying glass examining a rare plant. I thought: "You are a strange man. Travelling from one fair to another, just to see nearly always the same exhibitors." Was he Maitreya or a Master?

C. K., Munich, Germany

(Benjamin Creme's Master confirms that in all seven letters the elderly man calling himself 'Egon' was, in fact, Maitreya.)
